Working with Beauty and the Bump NYC
Hey there! I’m Kim, the face behind Beauty and the Bump NYC. As a Black millennial mom, I live the suburban dream with my amazing husband and our two beautiful daughters—ages 13 and four. After spending three bustling decades in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, we leaped the suburbs, trading city noise for serene greenery, better schools, and, let’s not forget, the luxury of accessible parking (a true NYC rarity!). Now, backing into my driveway after a long day is a simple joy, especially when it means reviewing fantastic cars.
Our Family’s Passion for Travel
Our family thrives on adventure, always eager to explore new horizons! We’re up for everything from FAM trips to travel experiences and eco-friendly products to family-friendly entertainment. Whether we’re lounging on a sun-drenched beach or uncovering hidden treasures in vibrant cities, our journeys are driven by a desire for fresh experiences and cherished memories. And, of course, a well-deserved adult beverage now and then adds a delightful touch of relaxation to our adventures! I have a penchant for tequila, mezcal, craft beers (especially Belgian ales, stouts, and porters), wine, and champagne.

Understanding the Beauty and the Bump NYC Audience
Beauty and the Bump NYC caters to a vibrant community of traveling, tech-savvy, fashion-forward moms aged 25-44 from diverse backgrounds. My readers are enthusiastic about couple and family travel and seek out honest reviews on everything from hotels to children’s toys, fashion, beauty, and culinary delights in the New York Tristate area.
Our Approach to Reviews and Giveaways
Our guiding principles are product reviews and giveaways, transparency, and authenticity. We’re committed to providing 100% honest feedback, ensuring that every product we endorse aligns with our values and resonates with our readers. Plus, we love sharing the love! Brands sending products for review agree to allow us to keep one and offer another as a giveaway to our engaged audience.
Event Coverage:
I’m always eager to attend events that align with the themes of my blog. Following the event, you can expect my post to be up within a week, complete with captivating photos, a detailed review, and links to all parties involved. For seamless coverage, I kindly request a press pass, transportation reimbursement (Uber, Lyft, or parking fees, tolls, and gas if I drive), and accommodations, including room and board, if the event is outside of New York City.
FAM/Press Trips
If you want to showcase a destination, a FAM/press trip is an excellent way to make waves. Currently, I offer comprehensive coverage of FAM trips in exchange for all expenses paid, including airfare, accommodations, meals, and payment for photo usage/licensing.
For FAM trips, my coverage typically includes:
- One pre-promotional post about the destination.
- A blog post recapping the trip, detailing how I spent the specified number of days in the destination.
- A blog post highlighting the top things to do in the destination.
- A blog post reviewing the accommodations where we stayed.
- Daily live social media shares on Instagram stories.
- Social media syndication of the blog posts across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
- Provision of three high-resolution images for use on your social media channels (with usage restrictions).
- Additionally, I can provide event-preview coverage, usually consisting of a dedicated 750-word blog post or a static Instagram feed post.
To promote your destination or brand, we can collaborate in various ways:
Press trips focusing on North American and worldwide destinations, culture, and food, with exposure before, during, and after the trip across platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and TikTok. I also write detailed blog posts about the destination, including links to sponsored businesses.
I write hotel reviews, restaurants, tours, and other activities. I’m eager to collaborate if your business or service interests my readers. Invite me to experience what you offer, and I’ll share my experience with the audience of my family travel blog.
Some of the tourist boards and brands I’ve worked with in the past include Mount Airy Lodge, Deer Lake Lodge, Legoland Florida, Legoland California, City Sightseeing New Orleans, Sea World San Diego, and Hofsas House.
Sponsored Post Guidelines & Requirements
At Beauty and the Bump NYC, we understand that sponsored posts are a means for sponsors to gain product exposure. However, all posts must align with Beauty and the Bump’s values and themes. Any post that links to a company or sales site is considered advertising and requires sponsorship. We don’t sell text links; we offer access to an engaged, targeted, and niche readership.
For sponsored posts, we allow up to three links per 300 words: one link in the introduction for your company’s name and up to two additional links within the content. All links are NOFOLLOW. Each sponsored post must include a disclosure indicating its sponsored status, both within the post and in the subject line. We only accept sponsored posts written in-house to ensure our blog maintains its authentic voice and reflects my opinions and experiences.
Every sponsored post must feature at least one high-quality photo you have the right to use or is available under Creative Commons for commercial use. The content of sponsored posts, including opinions expressed, belongs to the advertiser and does not necessarily reflect the views of Beauty and the Bump or its writers. We have no relationship with sponsors and do not influence the message.
To ensure transparency, we clearly label sponsored posts, enabling readers to differentiate between advertiser opinions and those of Beauty and the Bump. Typically, we start with the phrase “Sponsored Post” at the beginning of the title, followed by “This is a sponsored post written by the sponsor, [sponsor’s name].
