Disclosure Statement
Beauty and the Bump along with its sister site, Makeup by Kim Smith has always held close to our hearts the integrity of the stories and reviews we put out into the Internet. You’ve counted on our honest reviews, and you can trust that will continue. Please find solace that everything you read here or on another site written by Kim Smith is honest and hasn’t been influenced by outside sources even if it is a sponsored post.
We fully disclose that there are times we may include affiliate links or banners on Beauty and the Bump that will earn us a small commission if you choose to make a purchase from said links. We also accept products for review; however, we only post reviews of products that suit our brand and audience and know our family will personally use. Each post will contain a disclosure button linking back to this disclosure page whenever a post is sponsored, contains affiliate links, etc.
Over the years, Beauty and the Bump has grown. We would like to say that we are not your average mommy blog that focuses solely on beauty during motherhood and pregnancy because we know that there’s more to life than that. We’re not saying that’s not good enough, but we wanted to bring you more – more of our experiences as a family, as a couple, and as parents raising a daughter in New York, and making sure she sees the world. We’ve expanded our interests into things like travel, both local, national, and international travel – we enjoy it all. We may share a few dining experiences, recipes here and there, or even reviews of products, places we’ve visited, and overall things we love and love to do, and hope you’ll love, too!
However, please understand that Beauty and the Bump is a for-profit business, which helps to further fund this site, the experiences we share with you whether it’s through travel, trying to conceive, purchasing products to review, conduct giveaways, etc.
Beauty and the Bump works together with tourist boards on press trips and travel vendors (hotels, tour agencies) to increase our own travel industry awareness to then share the experience(s) here with you on this site, and on social media. These parties occasionally help us to offset our costs by bearing part or the whole of the cost of our visit; however, this does not affect our opinions in anyway; what we don’t like doesn’t make it to the site.
As Beauty and the Bump continues to grow, we promise to continue to provide honest reviews and fresh content to you, our readers, in order to get you the information you need to get out and explore the world in the most well-informed way possible.
If you have any questions regarding the above, please do not hesitate to contact us by using the contact page. It can be accessed on the menu above.
