The Disney Wish cruise ship is finally booking cruises in the Bahamas! It’s going to be so exciting to experience all the upgrades and innovations the newest Disney Cruise ship provides. The Disney Wish is the fifth ship in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet and it’s the biggest. Although the Disney Wish packs an additional 10,000 tons over the Dream and the Fantasy, it is only four feet longer. It also holds the same number of cabins (1,250), the same number of passengers (4,000), and has the same sized crew (1,458). Although there isn’t much of a size difference in the new ship, the big change is in the updates to dining and entertainment.
In addition to the time of these initial sailings, there are some other things I’m sure you’re dying to know about the Disney Wish. Here is everything to update you on what the new ship has to offer.

Fireworks Are Happening
While fireworks will most certainly appear in the Disney parks well before the summer of 2022, the time frame for that is still up in the air. Rumor has it that Disney wants to have fireworks at Walt Disney World this July although many don’t believe it will be in time for Independence Day. Nevertheless, the one thing we do know is that when the Disney Wish sails, fireworks will be part of the package. Disney Cruise Line is famous for its fireworks at sea. They are the only cruise line that includes fireworks as part of the experience and that tradition will carry on in 2022.
New Themed Dining Experiences
Dining experiences have always been key parts of taking a Disney cruise. The Animator’s Palate was the ultimate interactive dining room that kept getting reinvented with even more entertainment. Now, Disney tops their entertainment and dining game with a Marvel-themed restaurant and a Frozen-themed restaurant that you won’t want to miss.
Worlds of Marvel is an interactive dining experience full of superhero drama as Avengers face off against a common foe. Guests act out their superhero fantasies and even may be called on to help save the day. The menu will feature dishes inspired by regions like New York. Wakanda and Sokovia.
The Frozen dinner show promises to feature state-of-the-art visual effects that will stun fans of the Snow Queen. Disney has also taken its thematic upgrades to adult dining experiences by instituting a Star Wars Lounge and even styling Palo and Remy to upscale designs based on Cogsworth and Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast.

The First Attraction Ever…Kind of
Although many considered the AquaDuck to be an actual onboard attraction, the definition of attraction can be pretty shifty. The Disney Wish will not have an AquaDuck water coaster. Instead, it will remove nearly all ambiguity with the revamped version, the Aqua-Mouse! Based on the Emmy-winning cartoon series. The Aqua-Mouse will take guests inside a Mickey Mouse cartoon as they rip, curl and punch their way to the bottom of the slide.
New Oceaneers Lab Adventures
Speaking of cool slides; The kids’ clubs will get a new secret entrance from the Grand Hall. The newly reimagined Oceaneers club features three new wings. Marvel Superhero Academy and Princess Academy reinforce the two major themes of the Disney Wish. A third option focuses on Imagineering and gives kids a chance to create their own Disney magic just like they do in Burbank, California!
At the Superhero Academy, kids meet Black Panther, Spider-man, and Ant-Man. They’ll create avatars with a super-suit that they design using nanotech to display their choices on tree dimensional mannequins. Then they can put their skills and suits to the test in superhero battles.
The Princess Academy features Belle’s Library, Anna and Elsa’s Summer House, and an art class with Rapunzel.
In the Imagineering lab, kids can learn about what it takes to design a Disney attraction. they will create one and get to ride it in a simulator. If you miss Disney Quest, this is all that remains of that unique experience.
Only Bahamas Cruises
The Disney Wish sets sail next June and are only available for Bahamas cruises. All cruises on the Disney Wish include stops at Castaway Cay.
