When we were planning our visit to Camelback Mountain Resort for a day of skiing, my husband thought it would be best for us him to drive up the night before. He did not want to deal with both my daughter and me not being happy about waking up at the crack of dawn to make the two-hour drive; we are not [friendly] morning people. With that in mind, and because he wanted to keep his sanity, my husband ended up booking us a night at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Stroudsburg Bartonsville/Poconos.

When it comes to choosing hotels, my husband knows that I am picky. The place has to be clean, updated, and offer amenities that will suit our current need. This time around we needed a place to stay that was perfect for our family of three. My husband, knowing this assured me that the Fairfield Inn and Suites Stroudsburg Bartonsville/Poconos received good reviews, and “We will be straight.” I was happy to see that when we arrived at the lobby of the hotel that he was right. In the well-lit lobby furnished with bright and colorful seating, we received a warm welcome by the concierge. We received the key to our room and we were informed of the amenities available to us during our stay, such as the fitness center and pool.

Fairfield Inn and Suites Stroudsburg offers Free Breakfast

The Fairfield Inn and Suites Stroudsburg Bartonsville/Poconos offers free breakfast. Having breakfast available on site was a lifesaver, especially since we had to get to Camel Back Mountain early for registration.

Breakfast included mini Belgian waffles that you are able to prepare yourself, Chobani Greek Yogurt, eggs, and more. Coffee and hot chocolate are also free as well, and is available 24- hours a day! The next morning, I needed a hot cup of coffee!

Fairfield Inn and Suites Stroudsburg Studio King Suite

Our room for the night at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Stroudsburg Bartonsville/Poconos was located on the 4th floor. It was a large room furnished with mid-range contemporary décor. The room was split between the bedroom and living area, and both were equipped with televisions. Thank God for that! My husband was able to watch his sports in peace, while our daughter and I watched one of her favorite kid shows.

The bathroom of our studio king suite was large enough for the three of us to get ready without us getting in each other’s way. Yes, it was clean. I did not see any signs of mold in the shower or around the caulking of the sink. No stray hairs. Nothing. There were enough clean towels for the three of us, and even a single use packet of makeup remover. The latter I thought was a thoughtful touch.

Whenever we travel with our daughter we know how important it is for the place we stay to have some form of a kitchen. The Fairfield Inn and Suites Stroudsburg Bartonsville/Poconos, although our room did not have a kitchen, it was equipped with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee-maker. The fridge came in handy for storing our leftovers from Red Robin.
