Whether it is local or spending a week or more exploring another country the Beauty and the Bump family loves to travel.  It’s evident in our blog posts, and on social media.  Plus, we have a handful of international trips coming up soon.  As a result of our wanderlust, we’re implementing a new weekly blog topic: Travel Thursday.

What is Travel Thursday?

Travel Thursday will feature reviews of places we’ve visited like the Turtle Back Zoo we took a mini road trip to a few weeks back or like our couple’s getaway to Turks and Caicos. The posts will include our favorite places to visit, eat, relax, spend time as a family, and more.  We will provide travel tips and essentials with a focus on beauty, family and couple travel to help ensure your future travel plans run smoothly.

Why does Beauty and the Bump love to travel?

My father was a long-distance truck driver, and during our days off from school he’d sometimes allow us to ride along with him in his 18-wheeler. As a kid, visiting different states in a huge truck was an unique and exciting experience! Needless to say, I’ve been a wanderlust ever since, and both my husband agree that we’d like for our daughter to experience the same, and more.

As a family we’ve cruised, taken road trips, and visited other countries.  Of course, we’ve had fun during our trips, but more importantly, each one of those experiences has helped us learn about other people, cultures, and their history; the world is our classroom, and this classroom is huge! So whatever time we have here with our daughter, and as a couple we’re going to use it to explore our surroundings, and learn while having fun.  Plus, traveling, once you reach your destination is fun, and relaxing. I’m thinking of the beaches we’re about lie on, the foods we’re going to try, and not having to worry about the ins and outs of my everyday life.

 

Where is Beauty and the Bump heading next?
The end of 2015 into 2016 is going to bring many exciting travel experiences, and negative paid time off (PTO) balances .:LOL:., but when a good travel deal for a place on your bucket list arises, sometimes it is hard to pass up, and you have to just #BookDatIsh and plan later .:shrugs:. That said, this is where we’re headed:
  • September 2015 – The Beauty and the Bump family will knock
    off a bucket list destination with a visit to the UAE.  We’re splitting our time between Abu Dhabi
    and Dubai.  Our daughter is excited!!!
  • November 2015 – The Beauty and the Bump family travels to
    our favorite vacation spot, Puerto Vallarta, MX, but this time we’re bringing
    our daughter for the first time.
  • January 2016 – Beauty
    and the Bump will celebrate five years of marriage whilst visiting a bucket
    list destination, Marrakech, Morocco.
  • March 2016 – Beauty and the Bump will make a special trip to
    Florida to celebrate our daughter’s 5th birthday!. We’re making a stop at Legoland Florida. Shhh it’s a secret
