The New York Baby Show is the premier trade show for new and expecting parents, showcasing the latest and greatest products in baby gear, learning and developmental toys, and more. Although it has been seven years since having a newborn, vendors at the New York Baby Show showcase items for children at every stage. I am sharing my top three (3) picks from the 2018 New York Baby Show that will make travel with kids easier.

1. RideSafer Safety Vest by Safe Traffic Systems

Travel with kids can be a bit cumbersome because you always have to bring extra items including toys, stroller, and a car seat. The latter can be a pain in the neck to maneuver between cars or on flights. However, it does not have to be.  Safe Traffic Systems has a light, compact and safe option for parents who are constantly on-the-go – the RideSafer Safety Vest.  It is tested and certified to the test requirements specified in the FMVSS 213.

2. OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty

It seems like any time you are on the road with kids they have to go! The OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty allows you to handle any toileting situation while you are on-the-go. It can be used as a standalone potty with disposable bags (attached underneath) or as a potty seat on top of a regular toilet. Whether you are potty training or in the middle of nowhere without a place for your kids to use the potty, the OXO Tot 2-in-1 Go Potty is perfect.

3. Lunii My Fabulous Storyteller

Whether is it a phone or tablet, it seems like kids these days are born with an electronic device attached to their hands. During travel, anything to keep kids busy so that they aren’t fussy is welcomed, but as parents, we should try to limit screen time with electronic devices. This is where the Lunii My Fabulous Storyteller comes to play.

Lunii offers a unique alternative to using a phone or tablet to keep kids occupied. If you are like my husband and me, wanting to always limit screen time, then you will love Lunii. It has close to 50 scenarios that parents and kids can use their imaginations to create as many stories as their minds can allow. The Lunii is compact and easy to use and is great for kids ages 3 to 8 years old. I could not pull my 7-year-old away from it. The best part, it does not have a screen and does not need Wi-Fi or Bluetooth making it the perfect travel companion.

The Lunii reader is available for purchase for $69 at the MoMA store.

Travel Tray

The New York Baby show is pretty much all-inclusive when it comes to the products offered. Take, for instance, the Travel Tray. I loved this because everyone from toddlers to adults, yes, adults can use the Travel Tray. It is an all-in-one cup and snack holder that fits into a standard car seat, car console, stroller and even our beach chairs offering kids and parents easy access to snacks, drinks, and toys when on the road. It is available in a variety of fun colors, is durable and dishwasher safe.

One tray costs $15.00 and can be purchased on http://www.traveltray.us.
