During our recent family vacation to Florida for our daughter’s 5th birthday, we spent one night at the Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas located in Lake Buena Vista/Orlando. We chose the Vistana Resort Villas not only because we’ve stayed here previously and were happy with our accommodations, but also because when vacationing as a family we prefer having available to us all of the amenities of home. The Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas offer just that.

Our 1,500 square foot, two-bedroom villa featured a master bedroom with a super comfy king bed that opened up to the screened-in private patio. In addition to the ensuite, there was also a whirlpool tub that Mini Me swore she was going to use. Umm this is not your room, honey! The guest room, also with an ensuite that opened up into the main entryway, had two full-sized beds, which was perfect for Mini Me and her grandma to share.

The large dining table nestled between the open kitchen and living area was the perfect place for us to enjoy our dinner, a pie of Giordano’s Chicago-style pizza, and then relax while watching some Disney Jr. shows on one of three flat panel televisions with Bose 3·2·1® audio systems. And since we only had one night here, we (as in my husband and daughter) took advantage of the late-hour, indoor, heated pool while I took advantage of the free Wi-Fi to catch up on blogging and The Walking Dead episodes I missed.

After returning from the pool, my husband gladly used the room’s washer and dryer to clean and dry his and our daughter’s swim clothes.

The Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas in Lake Buena Vista has plenty of activities for both adults and children. There’s tennis, an on-site fitness center, multiple swimming pools, fitness classes, basketball court, arts and crafts, and a playground. Due to our short stay we didn’t get a chance to take advantage of all of the amenities and activities offered, but that’s just another reason for us to return to the Vistana Resort Villas.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas in Lake Buena Vista. Our villa was large enough for the four of us, and clean with all of the amenities of home, and more. Mini Me definitely enjoyed her stay, although short, but she can’t wait to stay again.

Beauty and the Bump recommends the Vistana Resort Villas to families visiting Orlando to spend time at the Disney parks, as the resort is only about 10-15 minutes outside of Disney Parks, and about a 45-minute drive to LEGOLAND Florida, where we visited the next morning. When you’re planning your next Orlando vacation, keep The Sheraton Vistana Resort Villas in Lake Buena Vista in mind.

  • You had me at washer and dryer, and amenities of home. We love staying at accommodations like these when we travel .

  • Deidre Harris McMillan

I really like how this hotels seems to have everything you need as a family for a great stay! Definitely loving the washer/dryer feature!!

  • Tia @ financiallyfitandfab

Wow! What a spacious villa. I especially love the tub in the living room!

  • This looks really nice, this is the best way to stay when you are traveling with your family. I wish I could wash up all of our laundry before we return home.

  • My sister stayed in this hotel when she visited us when we were living in Orlando. She had my niece and nephew with her and said it was the perfect hotel for a family. They loved it and loved the location.

  • I’ll be heading to Florida this summer, so this is great info.

  • VirtualSixFigureMom

My little one has asked if we can take a trip to Florida this year and this seems like a great option for us. Thanks for also including the distance to Disney, too.

  • That’s sounds awesome! We have a family of five so we are about that suite life as well when traveling! Thanks for sharing!

  • OMG this place is so spacious. I know you felt like you were at home in this villa! I love the hot tub/whirlpool amenity!

  • Kemkem

Wow! It looks more like an apartment 🙂 . A very spacious one at that. Very romantic the jacuzzi in the room. Funny your baby wanted to have that room! Smart girl. I like the Sheraton hotels, nice write-up.

  • Shantel Turner-Collins

Ohh wow very nice!! We usually rent a Home Away From Home when we travel to Disney World but this place seems to be very nice and spacious too!

    • I haven’t tried home away from home. I will look into it for next ime

  • polarbelle

That’s a wonderful room! On vacation, we also like to feel at home with an eat-in kitchen, and the washer dryer is a great bonus!

    • We definitely need a washer and dryer when we travel with our kid.

  • Wow, this is a gorgeous suite. I don’t live that far from Orlando, but I want to go stay there and use that jacuzzi!

    • The Jacuzzi was a nice addition. We didn’t use it. I’m jealous you have nice weather all year round.

  • FabZilla_Kath

Great to know you had positive experience. Will keep this hotel in mind

  • marciaf

I understand why you chose this hotel. I’ll keep it in mind when we take the kids to Florida for sure.

    • They have cool activities for children and adults, but since we only stayed one night we weren’t able to take advantage. Next time.

  • It looks like a great room!

  • This was really good to know if we ever decide that we need to stay the night after a daily Disney trip! We’re only 2 hours away but sometimes me and the hubby like to get a little Disney wild, haha!

    • You’re lucky you live so close to Disney. How often do you visit?

  • That’s a huge suite! Love that there is a washer and dryer too.

    • I was surprised at the amount of space we had just as much as you. The patio was even a good size.

  • Aleya Bamdad

I like that they have a good sized living room and a washer dryer which is good for families.

    • We could have definitely done some serious entertaining in the living room had we had more guests.

  • We stayed at their other location on I-Drive. It was nice. A little issue in the beginning but it was resolved quickly.

  • Allison @neversaydiebeauty

I was so curious to read your post this morning, Kim, because we just stayed at Sheraton Desert Oasis Villas in Scottsdale AZ, and we loved it. The apartment was terrific! I didn’t notice if we had a washer-dryer like you did but that is a great extra amenity! In fact, I was so taken by the villa and Scottsdale that I want to look into what they go for as an investment. Not sure I can do it, but worth a look

    • Thank you for reading! I’m going to look into this location. This is the second Sheraton Villa we’ve visited, and have had a good experience. I believe most of the Villa locations can be bought as a timeshare. I’ll see if I can find out.
