Are you one of those people asking why are Christmas items already showing up when we have 49 days until Christmas? People may think that you’re The Grinch! Well, speaking of the cranky green man himself, we just saw an advance screening of the latest Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch movie in theaters on November 9th.

In The Grinch, the angry green man (or thing) is up to his regular grinchy and grumpy ways. You know, trying to ruin Christmas for everyone in Whoville. The Grinch is angry! And angry for a good reason. I understand why he is the way he is because “Hurt people, hurt people.” However, no one can find joy in stealing someone else’s. A hard lesson that takes The Grinch over 50 years to learn.

I’ve loved every Grinch movie I’ve seen and this one is no different. I love how light is shed on the busy, do-it-all mom; someone I can relate to. Someone all moms can relate to. You know, the mom who does everything, I mean everything for her family, selflessly. We do it all to see smiles on our children’s faces even if it means one less smile on our own. Not because we are sad but because we are exhausted.

Moms, this movie is for us! It will definitely tug at our heartstrings. Little Cindy Lou, her thoughtfulness, her tender heart, and sweetness reminded me of my very own daughter. Seeing how busy her mom is she has only one request for Christmas, and it isn’t a tangible present. When you find out what it is your heart will just melt.

The Grinch is a great family movie to kick-off the holiday season. Even if you think it is too early for Christmas anything, seeing The Grinch may just grow your heart three times bigger than what it already is.
