The Christmas season is one of my favorites of them all. I love the cooler weather, and being indoors with my family sitting in front of our fireplace watching some of our favorite Christmas movies. Now, we have one more to add to our list: 8-Bit Christmas. It is set in suburban Chicago during the late 1980s. The story centers on ten-year-old Jake Doyle’s (played by Winslow Fegley) herculean quest to get the latest and greatest video game system – Nintendo – for Christmas. This family-friendly Christmas movie is perfect for 80’s babies like me to relish in the nostalgia of wanting a Nintendo gaming system. Do you remember everyone having that on their Christmas wishlists back in the day? I do! While it wasn’t on mine, it was on my sister’s who is still a gamer.
