Have you been keeping up with LEGOLAND® New York Resort news as much as I have? Well, I have some exciting things to share from yesterday’s media event that took place at the Oculus in New York City. Speaking of the Oculus, a three foot tall LEGO® version of the Oculus building was displayed during the presentation that will be the first LEGO® model installed at the resort.

Fun Fact: The Oculus LEGO® model was built using 40,000 LEGO® bricks and it took 555 hours for Master Model Builders to create.

Say Hello to the New Kid Reporters

During the media event, LEGOLAND® New York Resort introduced the six Kid Reporters who received a special one-of-a-kind LEGO® built microphone, and four First to Play Passes for themselves and their families. It seems like yesterday when I shared the contest with you. Congratulations to the winners! Being a Kid Reporter is an exciting and fun job that only a kid can do. You can keep up with them on the resorts social media pages.

LEGOLAND® New York Resort just 60 miles away from New York City!

When the resort opens in 2020, with more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions, as well as a 250-room LEGOLAND Hotel, it will be the ultimate LEGO theme-park experience. The 150-acre Resort is being built on a 500-acre site in Goshen, New York, just 60 miles northwest of New York City. I’m super excited about that since it means my family and I don’t have to travel too far to get our LEGOLAND fix. It’s no secret we are fans of the Florida and California locations.
