By now, you know that Beauty and the Bump loves to travel, whether it’s catching a long-haul flight to another country, or just doing a weekend getaway, we love it. One of the things we don’t love is to pack for our many trips. Why? Packing can be stressful; you can forget things. You can also over pack. Ladies, you know what we’re talking about. As impractical as it is, we tend to want to bring everything in our vanities. Not too long ago (five months) we were that way, but lately, we’ve been more focused on packing smarter and lighter. Today, we are sharing with you Beauty and the Bump’s Must-Have Travel Items for Women On-the-Go.
Travel Essentials Kit
Fill your favorite [small] toiletries travel bag with items you know will make your flight or road trip easier. I normally bring with me Carmex, Perfume, hydrating mask, hand cream, hand sanitizer, Cottonelle wipes, makeup remover wipes.
Travel Perfume
We can’t go anywhere without my favorite scents. Thankfully, we’re subscribed to a luxury perfume subscription program, Scentbird where we receive my favorite scents in these cute little atomizers. The size of the packaging is perfect for travel, as it is small enough to fit in your purse or carry-on, or even your pants or jacket pocket.
Reusable Menstrual Cup
You’ve read the of the Lunette Menstrual Cup, and know that we love it. The Lunette actually received its first passport stamp during our Morocco trip. Menstrual cups are great for travel because you never have to worry about packing tampons or pads in your purse or carry-on, and being potentially embarrassed during the TSA bag probes or if one accidentally falls out. Using a menstrual cup also frees up space in your luggage so that you can pack more important things like – makeup.
Portable USB Charger
Beauty and the Bump is always on social media because that’s what bloggers do. We have loads of photos to share on Instagram from our travel adventures and daily lives, and keeping up with and interacting with our readers. Social media apps and taking photos can do a number on your battery, which is why we always bring along with us our Anker USB portable charger. It can charge up to two (2) devices, and the battery charge lasts forever!
Selfie Stick
Selfies sticks may seem a bit corny, but they’ve saved us numerous times on our trips, especially during the times no one is around or looks like they don’t want to be bothered by tourists, and asked to take a picture.
Snacks
Always pack snacks. We’ve been eating healthy a lot more, which is why I bring with me a pack or two of CRUNCHIES freeze-dried fruits.
Compression Tights/Socks
Flying often can sometimes mean numerous hours spent sitting in a cramped airplane seat, which can leave your legs and ankles swollen and puffy. Imagine flying to Turks and Caicos, and getting off the plane with cankles? You cannot wear a two-piece with cankles. Wear compression socks or tights to prevent that. Also, make sure you drink a lot of water, and walk around often.
Something to keep you warm When traveling, whether by car or by plane, it is important
to dress in layers. Planes always get cold, so bring either a scarf like a pashmina, a blanket if you have space in your carry-on, and socks to keep your feet warm.
