Recently, Beauty and the Bump NYC attended the A Girls Guide to Cars Conference in Palm Springs, California. Our home base for the conference was the beautiful Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, a Curio Collection boutique resort by Hilton. After spending three nights here without kids, I know it is the perfect momcation destination.

Momcation? What?!?

Over the summer, news spread that moms were taking time for themselves, going on vacation without their kids or husbands to give themselves a break from the stressors of motherhood. You know, we are always on the go, whether it is to work, taking kids to an extracurricular activity, a playdate, or cooking and cleaning we barely get time to catch our breath. Now, we have a reason, a “momcation” to do just that. Moms return from this break better, less stressed, and more appreciative of what they have at home. You need one, right?

Why Have a Momcation at Miramonte Resort & Spa?

The Large Guestrooms

One thing that I love most about getting away alone is having the bed to myself. At Miramonte Resort & Spa, the large guestrooms and large comfy beds are perfect for any worn out mom. A bed you can actually get rest in and not worry about waking up with a foot or something in your back or on your face.

Soak Up the California Sun Poolside

Miramonte Resort & Spa has not just one, but THREE pools. Each pool caters to what you’re going for at the moment. Do you want peace and relaxation? Then the Hideaway Pool or Aqua Well Pool and Riverbench may be a good fit. If you want to sunbathe and have fun poolside, the main pool, the Miramonte Pool is your best bet. Food and beverage service is available at each pool too.

Good Food

Speaking of food, the Miramonte has two places to grab drinks, a quick bite or dinner: The Tavern Bar or Citrus & Palm. Experience five-star, farm-to-table meals at the Citrus & Palms restaurant like the Cauliflower Ceviche Tostada, salad, and string beans that we experienced during the A Girls Guide to Cars #Drive2Learn Conference.

Relax at the Well Spa

The point of having a momcation is to relax. A Momcation at the Miramonte Resort & Spa is the ultimate place for that because… the Well Spa! The Well Spa at Miramonte has a variety of specialty citrus spa treatments inspired by its surroundings of citrus groves and the Santa Rosa Mountains that will help any momma relax.

The Well Spa at Miramonte Resort and Spa

At the Well Spa you have a choice between any of the nine indoor treatment rooms and three outdoor relaxation spaces, each mimicking the serenity of the surrounding Palm Desert. The hot and cool soaking pools, eucalyptus-infused steam rooms, and a relaxation lounge all promote tranquility – something all moms need.

Go ahead, take your momcation. Your kids and your husband can survive without you for just a few days. When you return you will be better from it. You will be more relaxed and have a clearer head.
