Vacations are for relaxing and being pampered, which is why part of the Beauty and the Bump clan called home the St. Regis Hotel Abu Dhabi for the duration of our visit to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The St. Regis Hotel Abu Dhabi is a 283-room luxury hotel including 55 elegant suites that offer panoramic waterfront views of the Arabian Gulf. It features all of the luxury items and services that make you not want to return home. Who wouldn’t want a full-service 24-hour butler that caters their every need? I know that I want one even in my everyday life, and I am pretty sure you would, too!
The Grand Entrance
Have you ever been greeted by your personal butler? That’s what happens when you stay at the St. Regis Hotel Abu Dhabi. That along with the valet service and doormen were just a glimpse of what was in store. The lobby was perfectly decorated with décor that was a beautiful blend of Arabian culture with Gilded Age aesthetics like wooden panels with Arabian geometric themes adorning the high ceiling, and Arabian-style rugs and cushions. The Tea Lounge, also in the lobby is framed by two ornate bronze banister staircases that lead to the library. Public spaces within the hotel like meeting rooms and lounges feature open fireplaces. No details or luxurious elements were spared even in the public bathrooms. This, for some strange reason, was both my husband and daughter’s favorite place. Go figure.
The Rooms at the St. Regis Hotel Abu Dhabi
The lobby was pure elegance, and the rooms were the definition of luxury. The room had a beautiful view of the Arabian Gulf, and for the ladies, plenty of closet space. After a long flight like the one we had from New York to the UAE, the huge soaking tub was perfect for relaxing. The shower and bathroom were massive, too and included Remede Spa amenities. Expecting guests? The room has a doorbell. My favorite part of the room was the large vanity and the long hallway (at least for a hotel room) from the door to the bedroom.
And the luxury does not end there. From the room, we were able to see the sky-bridge suspended between the St. Regis’ two towers. But, after inquiring with the butler we later found out that it was more than that, it was the exclusive Abu Dhabi Suite, which we were able to tour.
The Abu Dhabi Suite at the St. Regis Abu Dhabi
Listen when I tell you that this is the most extravagant suite I have ever seen in life. The Abu Dhabi Suite at the St. Regis in Abu Dhabi is the world’s highest suspended hotel suite – positioned over 650 feet above ground between the hotel’s two towers. This massive suite boasts 24,000 square feet of luxury spread across two floors (48th and 49th floors). The suite has private elevator access (providing prompt access to the hotel’s lobby and helipad) with dedicated security staff.
Of course, with it being so high up, there are to-die-for panoramic views of the Abu Dhabi skyline, Arabian Gulf, and the Corniche.
Although the suite only has three bedrooms, there’s enough room for more, or if you’re one of those people that love having their own space without bumping into someone this is the place for you.
At a rate of over $19K USD a night, as you can imagine no details were spared in this suite. The suite boasts a spa, with sauna, a gym, a movie theater, and a kitchen.
The Master Suite, which is located in the upper wing of the suite, includes an en-suite bathroom, library, lounge, entertainment and dining area complete with art deco inspired furniture and crystal chandeliers.
I loved the majestic color scheme of purples and golds used throughout the suite. My husband’s favorite place was the library and meeting room.
To state that we were just amazed by the Abu Dhabi Suite would no serve it justice. Not even the rave TripAdvisor reviews are enough. It is something you have to experience yourself.

Do not think twice about staying at the St. Regis Abu Dhabi – just book it! The St. Regis Abu Dhabi is the perfect choice for couples and parents who need to relax and have someone take care of them for a change. It is also in perfect proximity to the Corniche and Marina Mall, which are perfect for those who like taking romantic strolls.
