Press Trip

Kids love building with LEGO’s, as well as adults. Westchester has the perfect place for LEGO-loving families to let loose, have fun, and build beyond their imaginations: the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester RACERS Build and Test

Visiting the very place where some of New York’s top landmarks are made out of LEGO bricks can be exciting for any kid, especially for two-year-old Anil and his family. During their first visit to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester they were able to learn secrets from the Master Model Builder, experience the LEGO center’s indoor soft play, and enjoy rides like the Kingdom Quest.  Keep reading to find out more about their LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester experience.

Anil LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester

The Kingdom Quest is an automated car which comes with a laser gun at each seat.  Throughout the ride you aim at monsters and dragons throughout the ride.  It’s a short ride, but all of the action happens in the dark so if your child is scared of the dark you can easily skip this ride.  We also enjoyed the experience of the Merlin’s Apprentice, this is a “carousel” type ride which has cars with pedals.  As the ride goes around the lights changes which makes it a better experience for the little ones.

DUPLO Village LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester

Anil enjoyed the 4D movie because he tried to catch and feel the figures as they appear in front of him.  Anil’s favorite was the LEGO Duplo Village where he played with the huge soft bricks and went up and down the mini slide.  There is also a LEGO Friends Village which has a pretend ice cream café and a karaoke machine.  There were girls having fun trying to sing along to the songs.  If you have a little builder in your family, they can try out the Build & Test area where they can build a race car and test it out on different tracks.

The LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester is the perfect place for smaller children like Anil and even for our five-year-old, but be sure to keep an eye out for the bigger kids who are also running around, and may not see your little ones. Also, there are lots of LEGO bricks on the floor, just watch your step because we all know how painful stepping on a LEGO brick can be.  Plan to spend, on average, 2-3 hours to enjoy of the LEGO fun.
