Mini me’s hair just sucks up moisture.  No matter what I used.  No matter how much I moisturized and sealed,
nothing seemed to work.  That is, until
after I came across Taliah Waajid’s Kinky, Wavy, Natural Herbal Style & Shine.  I can sum up my satisfaction with this
product in two words: Miracle worker!

What is Taliah Waajid’s
Kinky, Wavy, Natural Herbal Style & Shine?
Taliah Waajid’s
Kinky, Wavy, Natural Herbal Style & Shine
promises to take out the
stress, paint and torture that sometimes comes with the territory of doing a
childs kinky, curly or coily natural hair.
This is a moisture based product with a creamy, gel-like consistency that
helps moisturize, soften, detangle and add shine to the hair.  It can be
used on both the hair and scalp.
Ingredients:  Peg-73 shea butter, glycerides, deionized water,
glyceryl stearate, cetearyl alcohol, stearic acid and sodium cocoyl glutamate,
glycerin, sage extract, green tea, dmdm hydrantion, vitamin E, silk protein,
fragrance.
My Thoughts:
Prior to using the Taliah
Waajid Kinky,
Wavy, Natural Herbal Style & Shine, I was using the EDEN BodyWorks All Natural Coconut Shea Pudding Soufflé.  It added moisture but, it also caused
shrinkage in mini me’s hair. Plus, her hair seemed to lack shine, and looked
lifeless without it, and that’s even after sealing it with oil.
Fast forward to when
my Drugstore.com order arrived that contained the Taliah Waajid Kinky, Wavy, Natural Herbal Style & Shine.  I sat it on the table for my mom to use
the next day on mini me’s hair, and when I came home from work later that day,
my mom expressed her satisfaction with the product.  She said “That stuff gave her hair some life.
I like it.”
If Grandma loves it, you know it’s a winner because she rarely likes anything I pick up for mini me’s hair.
The Taliah Waajid
Kinky,
Wavy, Natural Herbal Style & Shine made mini me’s hair more
manageable and soft.  It slicked her hair
down, and kept it together.  Her curls
actually showed well, and lasted throughout the day.  It worked well on wet, dry and damp hair. I’ve
even tried it on myself, and on one of my older sister’s hair, too.  It worked well on our edges in keeping them
slicked down and smooth.  Plus, the Taliah Waajid Kinky, Curly, Natural Herbal
Style & Shine
has a great scent to match; it smells like a piña colada.
As previously stated, the Taliah Waajid Kinky, Wavy, Natural Herbal Style & Shine has a
creamy
, gel-like texture.  Think of
Jam plus cream.  I like that it’s nice and thick, but it isn’t too heavy on mini me’s hair. Although isn’t as tacky
or sticky as Jam, if you don’t tie up your child’s hair at night, it will
collect lint.
I wish the Taliah Waajid Kinky, Wavy, Natural Herbal Style
& Shine
came in  maybe an 8 oz jar
since we tend to use this daily on mini me’s hair, we can run through a jar in
one month give or take a week.
Pros

  • Can be used on all hair textures
  • Softens hair
  • Reduces breakage
  • Helps detangle hair for easy combing and styling
  • Conditions and adds sheen to hair

  • Smells great
Cons
  • Can attract lint
Overall, I am happy with the Taliah
Waajid Kinky,
Wavy, Natural Herbal Style & Shine.  I would definitely recommend purchasing the Taliah Waajid Kinky, Curly, Natural Herbal Stlye & Shine.  It
is an affordable ($5.99/ 6 oz), natural hair product that works.  In fact, I’m so happy with it that I ventured
out to purchase some of the other products from the line, along with
re-stocking the Taliah Waajid Kinky, Wavy,
Natural Herbal Style & Shine
.  I
picked up the Natural Easy Herbal Comb Out 8 oz/ $6.29, and Clean Three-in-one Shampoo, Conditioner and Softener 8 oz/ $6.29.
