I pride myself on the whiteness of my teeth. I’m also always receiving compliments on them, so imagine how I felt during my six month dental visit when I found out that I had lingual staining on my teeth due to my tea and coffee drinking. It was then that I realized that my current toothbrush was not enough; it was time for me to use something with a bit more power: the Waterpik Complete Care 5.0.

Waterpik Complete Care 5.0 White

The Waterpik Complete Care 5.0 is a counter top 2-in-1 oral care system that combines both a Waterpik water flosser and Triple Sonic toothbrush for effective oral care. The Triple Sonic Toothbrush, with its advanced brush head design, has three sonic mode settings to help teeth get clean, whiter, and aid in gum health. For added convenience, the attached water flosser, for what the Waterpik brand is widely known is aids in effectively removing plaque. In fact, Waterpik claims that the water flosser is proven to remove up to 99.9% of plaque from areas treated with the flosser.

Incorporating the Waterpik Complete Care 5.0 Water Flosser and Triple Sonic Toothbrush into my oral care routine wasn’t at all difficult. I was actually excited to use it.

Since I’m a brush first, floss last type of girl, I followed my same routine. The only difference is that I took advantage of all three of the Triple Sonic Toothbrush settings: Clean, Whiten, and Massage. Doing so elongated the duration of my oral care routine, but the results were well worth it.

After using the Triple Sonic Toothbrush to get my teeth clean and my gums stimulated, it was time to use the water flosser. The water flosser was easy to use; the Water Control for the flosser has an easily accessible on/off switch located on its handle. While the body of the reservoir has an additional on/off dial, including 10 advanced pressure settings to control the pressure of the water leaving the flosser.

After filling the reservoir with warm water, and using my preferred attachment, the Classic Jet Tip, I turned on the water flosser reservoir, placed the flosser tip in my mouth, and then set the pressure to about 3-4, which was perfect for removing whatever yucky stuff from the day out of my mouth.

After using both the Triple Sonic Toothbrush and the water flosser, my teeth and mouth felt like it does after I’ve just left the dentist for a cleaning. Imagine being able to get your teeth that clean on a daily basis. It’s pretty amazing. And I am happy to report that my lingual staining dissipated over time. During my most recent dental visit, both the hygienist and dentist complimented me on how good my teeth looked and how healthy are my gums. I was happy. My husband, who is also using the Waterpik Complete Care 5.0 in Black, stated his dentist praised him for taking care of his teeth and having healthy gums.

The Waterpik Complete Care 5.0 definitely works, but there is one downside: it’s not made for small vanities. The Complete Care 5.0 is supposed to be a safe-saving design, but we lack counter space in our bathroom so it’s hard for two Waterpik Complete Care 5.0 systems to comfortably fit. Thankfully, Waterpik offers the Cordless Freedom Flosser ($44.99). The Cordless Freedom is smaller, works on battery, and is great for travel. In fact, it came along with us during our most recent vacation to Florida. Since the tips are interchangeable, we only needed that single Freedom flosser for the three of us.

Waterpik Complete Care 5.0 Effective Plaque Removal

Overall, we love the Waterpik Complete Care 5.0 oral care system. It has helped improved the health and look of our teeth and gums.

The Waterpik Complete Care 5.0 system is available in Black and White, and retails for $99.99. Visit waterpik.com to see their range of water flossers and sonic brushes.
