I just wanted to stop by here and wish everyone a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous 2013. I know I have neglected to update this blog. I’ve been busy working, trying to get my makeup artist business going so that I can eventually quit my full-time job, and working on my other blog, Makeup by Kim Porter.
What has happened?
Mini me is now 21 months. I can’t believe she will be two in just a few months! She’s really smart. I am not just saying that because I am her mom. She says a lot of words, and repeats alot. Her memory is great, too! Maybe that’s where all of mine went? She is a pure entertainer. There’s never a dull moment in my house.
During mini me’s last doctor’s appointment she weighed in at 30 lbs, and measured 36″, which is nearly half of my height; she’s a big girl. I hav eno clue how because she barely eats. Yes, I’m still breastfeeding. I plan on stopping when she is two. Any tips on weaning?
She is obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba and the Fresh Beat Band. OMG the number of times I have to watch it a day.

Hubby and I celebrated our two-year anniversary as a married couple. It was really nice! He put a lot of thought into making it a special day for me. We went to a local restaurant, Soco. He had gifts setup on the table. He had a theme and everything! I received some nice gifts, too! I got him an ipad mini.

We started working on our vision board together. I think all couples should do this. One of our goal for this year is to get a better place to live. We need more space amongst other things.
New Years Eve we did absolutely nothing. Well, I did some makeup, but after that we just chilled. Hubby and mini me fell asleep on my, while I killed a whole bottle of wine – alone. Don’t worry, it didn’t give me buzz or anything. I just went to sleep.
New Years Day, mini me woke up feeling ill. She had a fever, cough, congestion, and she threw up. Today, she’s doing much better. Our humidifier has worked wonders.
New Years surprised me with another gift, aunt flow! Can you believe after two years and nearly 7 months of not having her she decides to show up at the beginning of the freaking year! It isn’t as bad as I thought it’d be, but, I’d prefer her to not be here at all. It’s heavy, but not getting everywhere, messy heavy. I have cramps. Prior to her coming, I had no warning signs. I’d get ovulation pains once a month, but, no aunt flow until January 1, 2013. The date makes it easy to track. Anyway, I guess this means what I was told by a little birdie that I will be expecting baby number two near the end of this year is true. We shall see!
I’m not sure what I want to do with this blog. What would you like to see me do with it?
